The “Clues and DECIDE wallet card”, NFES 2148 and “Do’s and Don’ts of HazMat card”, NFES 2149 referenced in the Instructor Guide on page 13.7 are no longer available through the Publications Management System. Please delete this section of the training course.

The following changes have been made to publications identified in Appendix A of the Instructor Guide:
• NFES 2732 – S-130 Risk Management VHS has been removed from PMS; use NFES 2733 – S-130 Risk Management DVD
• NFES 2652 – L-180, Human Factors on the Fireline VHS has been replaced with NFES 2985 – L-180 DVD
• NFES 2727 – S-134, LCES VHS has been replaced with NFES 2898 – S- 134, LCES DVD
• Optional videos: NFES 2145, Hazardous Materials VHS; and NFES 2146 – First on the Scene VHS have been removed from PMS; no replacements available.

Optional materials have been developed to enhance the students understanding of the Wildland Fire Decision Support System (WFDSS) relative to the S-130, Firefighter Training course. Instructors who choose to use the optional materials to enhance the course should be familiar with the lesson and its contents and determine how it will be used in the course. NWCG Training Catalog now on Wildland Fire Learning Portal

The National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) has migrated the training catalog from the NWCG website to the Wildland Fire Learning Portal (WFLP) as part of our ongoing efforts to streamline processes and improve efficiency. To facilitate this transition, the training catalog remains available on www.nwcg.gov through April 2024.

Starting May 2024, the training catalog will no longer be accessible on www.nwcg.gov. However, you can still access the complete training catalog by logging in as a guest to the WFLP.

WFSTAR 2023 Year in Review and 2024 Core Component Module Packages Available

The 2023 Fire Year in Review module and 2024 Core Component Module Packages for RT-130, Wildland Fire Safety Training Annual Refresher (WFSTAR) are now available on the NWCG website. The 2024 Core Component Module Package provides all content needed to deliver RT-130.
